About me

Bruce Mahoney grew up in a sailing family and has spent more than 25 years working as a professional sailor. Working in diverse roles that include youth sailing coach, sailing director of the Houston Yacht Club, and team member and operations manager of a prominent West Coast racing team; Bruce has raced with, and worked alongside, both novice sailors and sailing legends. He has first-hand experience with sailboats ranging from dinghies to 70’ offshore racers. In 2012, he joined the A-Class catamaran fleet, quickly rising through its ranks to become a consistent top finisher in the world championships and a 7-time North American champion.

Mahoney Projects aims to share knowledge and skills built-up over a lifetime of sailing through coaching, construction of performance boat parts, refitting and setting up boats and helping clients get the most out of their sailing experience.
